Development of a method for measuring and visualizing the concentration of aerosol particles using flame photometry

It has been pointed out that SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19, can droplet or nucleus infection by aerosol particles. Therefore, there is a growing need for method to investigate behavior Currently, it impossible visualize particles and measure their concentration simultaneously. In this study, measuring visualizing flame photometry was developed. method, consisting sodium chloride solution used as tracers human-droplet nuclei, amount in determined color reaction burner. Experiments using developed showed be visualized same trend particle counter, indicating measured method. This study suggests may applied evaluate effectiveness ventilation, propose appropriate ventilation methods, improve accuracy CFD simulations.
